North Carolina’s Power Play:
Red Dominance, Blue Breakthrough, or Split Decision?

North Carolina continued it’s long history of split-ticket voting, choosing Republican Donald Trump 50.86% to Harris’ 47.65% for President, Democrat Josh Stein 54.9% to Robinson’s 40.08, splitting Council of State races, and maintaining majorities in the State Legislature. The biggest news was Democrats breaking the House Republican supermajority by one seat. They did so by flipping two Republican seats, however they lost one of their own seats resulting in a net flip of 1 seat.
